Severe Weather hitting New Zealand | 12 July 2017

Icy weather and high winds hitting New Zealand have seen some major road closed and suspended ferry crossings. We expect there will be service disruptions in the coming days.
Ferry Crossings Suspended
Swells of up to 7 meters have been forecast to hit the Cook Strait. KiwiRail have informed us that sailings between Wellington and Picton will be suspended from Wednesday 12 July and are expected to resume on Friday 14 July, weather permitting.
Road Closures
With snow falling in the Lower North and most of the South Island, road closures have been put in place. Roads will reopen once driving conditions improve.
For all road closure information head to the NZTA website.
